Hello dear friend.
I'm Annie Potter, artist, maker, teacher and collector of ideas. Welcome to my world; a cabinet of curious artworks, along with a journal of creative projects, stories, lesson ideas and more.
If you are a teacher you may find useful resources, if you are a craftsperson or an artist; unusual projects and inspiring ideas or you may simply find a kindred spirit.
The journal turned out to be at the heart of this place;
like a corridor running through my world;
a collection of personal ramblings;
some practical, some playful.
For those of you who like to explore
I've tucked away some of the more
tangential topics and half baked ideas
in spare rooms. (not knowing what I'm doing never stopped me).
I have been told I see the world a bit differently. I am hoping you will enjoy seeing it through my eyes for a moment.
Of course you might prefer to just look at the pictures!
Some artworks are available in the shop,
other pieces might be persuaded to leave home.
And I'm happy to discuss commissions.

Annie Potter is an artist whose work celebrates the beauty hiding inside ordinary things — a chipped rose-pattern plate, a crumpled matchbox label, a scrap of floral wallpaper.
Her pique assiette mosaics are built from broken china and ceramic fragments, assembled with patient care into mirrors, house numbers, plaques and panels. Every shard carries the history of the object it came from.
Alongside the mosaics, Annie makes mixed-media collage, painted portraits, Felted sculpture, machine-embroidered textiles and found-object pieces — all rooted in the same joyful conviction that ordinary things deserve a second, more beautiful life.
